ALL THAT REMAINS FROM THE ASHES

Mercer isn't the only Cobra to switch sides. There is however only one former Crimson Guard to ever leave Cobra Island, as a traitor, alive. Seige. Seige joined Cobra after being denied entry to the Army due to a single blemish upon his otherwise spotless criminal record. It seemed a group of high school football players jumped him in an initiation rite to the Varsity team. He was hospitalized with various non-lifethreatening injuries. During his recovery he planned his revenge... which resulted in the death of a young popular freshman girl when the car of the football played he felt led his assault came around a corner a little too fast and realized his breaks didn't work. A tree stopped the car.

Needless to say Seige was disenfranchised. He joined Cobra and worked his way up the ranks. He saw combat multiple times and took part in more covert operations. He eventual rose to the rank of Crimson Guard and later Crimson Shadow Guard. He served proudly and looked to be a model of Cobra dedication. That is until he was assigned to serve security at one of Mindbender's genetic labs. Seeing the immoral and unethical experiments and their results Seige began to question Mindbender's motives. They didn't seem to be for the success of Cobra but rather for his own twisted sense of enjoyment. After being denied transfer from his duty station Seige's behavior became more erratic. One night after witnessing a particualrly brutal experiment involving a kidnapped young girl Seige decided to cut his ties with Cobra. During his escape he was forced to kill several of his former comrades.

While he still believes in the greater mission of Cobra he finds himself on the organization's most wanted list for what he knows. He knows secrets that Cobra and Mindbender would rather not ever be known to the world. Perhaps he knows something about the outbreaks?
